What is the purpose of the hose?

Funny thing time…. as a kid, a year was an incredibly long time. As a teen, ten years seemed like a really long time. At twenty, thirty seemed a long way away. As I crash headlong toward seventy a year goes by in a blink and twenty years is no time at all…. time sure is a funny thing 8^/

It’s an old saying for their time frame.

It’s all relative. That is, “old” is as old as your oldest relative.
