Although I’ve been checking out the arc where he joined the CIA — post 9-11, the recruiting and “background check” strips are between mid-November 2001 & January 2002 – probably more into the year but I don’t have time to read ’em now!

But Joanie does mention a college girlfriend dumping him during the background check interview. She must have been there on some days Jeff was off-strip.

Jeff wants to go to Annapolis for some very mistaken ideas of what the US Navy is all about.

He’s started to believe his Red Rascal character is Real.
