Once upon a time, America wasn’t. And yet the world turned. Now that we are here, India & China outnumber us 10 to 1.

We’ve got the money, nukes, technology, and a grand ideal of equality and moral justice. They gonna get more money, steal & develop more tech, and keep on building bombs.

If the people in this world [who outnumber us 20 to 1] respect us as the good guys, all is well. If not…

What a great goal, having the greater number of resource-demanding individuals. That should fix everything./s

They are competing for former U.S. jobs; where their slave labor country pays off with big bribes. Why republicans want kids born who are to blame for everything wrong with their family; you know those unwanted and unloved; that can be sold into labor markets and sex slavery who is profiting from those laws republicans pass.

Not sure this is something to celebrate or.. be proud of. But, in the big picture a blip that has happened to countless other species in the past. All runaway populations have been brought under control by time, and in a thousand years or so.. so will our population be “under control”

The biggest threat to mankind and all the critters we so dearly love is human over population. We’re currently ~6 billion past sustainable and growing at a net daily gain of ~250,000. Over half of those cute little 1/4 million babies are unplanned and unwanted. Over 2 billion, of the world’s population, don’t have potable water. ~2 billion go to bed hungry. We have pumped enough ground water to quench thirst and grow crops to throw the earth out of balance to where the earth’s axis has changed to maintain balanced rotation. The political response to this, especially by republicans, is to party on like there’s no tomorrow. That tomorrow is predicted possibly to be in less than a century and most of the scientific predictions pertaining to what we’ve done to our planet have been overly optimistic. The last 3 generations have taken us from a nearly sustainable 2.3 billion to over 8 billion.

The most humane fix for this is to reduce the over reproduction rate. Many developed world educated women with resources of health care, contraception and abortion availability have already decided to not reproduce. The softest fix for over population is autonomy, education, health care and reproductive services for women around the world. Education and free vasectomies for men would do wonders to help drop the over reproduction rate too, of course. It’s up the the next 3 generations to take us back down to a sustainable world population or disease, war and an unlivable planet for us will do the job instead.

Both parties are wispy-washy numnuts about India and Modi. A state dinner was given for Modi and he addressed Congress. So let’s forget that India just surpassed China for importing the most Russian oil.

Russia is now exporting more oil than before Putin invaded and is still trying to destroy a democracy. If it’s true about the Wagner Group attempting to get to Moscow, who do you cheer onward?

It’s more of a question of what power is going to try to slip into the vacuum when a major internal war destroys Russia’s economy and creates millions more refugees. Place your bets. What’s the Vegas line?

They respect the U.S. at an amount equal to the money and military equipment we promise to give them. The U.S. has always had to buy Allies. They are gone soon as the money runs out.

Both India and China have nukes, and the glaciers in the Himalayas that feed All the rivers of Asia/southeast-Asia are melting rapidly; when those glaciers die, so will the rivers.

Given that the 2 countries have already had several shooting skirmishes along their common border, and are home to populations that have proved quite ‘exciteable’ in times past, I have serious doubts that any water disputes will be settled by tactful diplomacy and mutual good-will. The major problem the USA will face (Other than its Own water issues) will be to avoid getting sucked into whatever conflicts may break out over there. If America can manage that, and the war does not widen past the parameters of Asia/SouthEast Asia, it may find that the populations of both countries have been Greatly reduced.

Both have aging populations, China more so. As long as we keep embracing legal immigration, we’ll have a better, more vibrant and diverse population.
