It was many years ago, but I visited Paris when I lived in Munich – the “fast train” is just that! In front of many shops baskets of bread were placed, waiting to be brought in when the shop owners arrived. I thought “how amazing”! How is it that these are safe from theft? I wonder if that delivery practice is still used?
The worms seem to be enjoying the ride and the view. Perhaps they’ll have the same fate as the oysters in “The Walrus and the Carpenter,” but actually they seem of a size capable of putting up a good fight…
