Are there any strips with a father who is competent at DIY? Not obsessed, just competent?

Why is it hard to fix something with 12 parts?

    Tony asked

    Are you handy?

Yes. But I won’t fix Pete’s toilet now.

There are some things I can fix on my own. Others I won’t touch and call the landlord to have him fix them.

Before attempting any home repairs, one needs to know if he has the skills to accomplish it.Fixing a toilet is usually a simple job. Even replacing the old toilet with a new toilet can be relatively easy, again with some basic mechanical skills. I did like the Hindenburg comparison especially using the quote of Herbert Morrison. Only in this case Dad was not only a witness to the event but actually caused the event to happen. Bad Dad……

Since he’s working with plumbing/water, I’m thinking it’d be more like the Titanic…(if he was working on electrical, it’d likely end up more like the Hindenburg…)
