I thought the affordable B&W omnibuses came and went some years ago. Unless he’s blowing a ton of money on the pricey color reprints.

There is a problem with books that big

I’ve been reading the Marvel Comics Encyclopedia and it is massive

To read it in my recliner, I have to put a tray on my lap to hold the furshlugger thing

No, I just repurchased my old comic books, again.

Can anyone else there see Silver Age Jeff? Are the books SAJ is holding real?

Jff sold them all, and now has spent five times the money buying them all back.

My “golden age” of comic collecting ended with the last runs of such magazines as : Fightin’ Army (Charlton, 157 issues from 1956 to 1984) 1 Fightin’ Marines (Charlton, 163 issues from 1955 to 1984) 1 G.I. Combat (Quality/DC, 288 issues from 1952 to 1987) Our Fighting Forces (DC, 181 issues from 1954 to 1978) Sgt. Fury, et al.

I get why people like these. I do too but man, they’re expensive! Cheaper than the originals alot of the time. Also, when it comes to Golden Age Comics, nothing beats holding an original in your hands. I once was allowed to flip through a low grade copy of Action Comics #1. The reprints just don’t do it justice.! It was like a religious experience…

I really enjoy my omnibuses, but you have to be careful as they can be pricey. Good for all ages of comics. I would like to find some of the missing sets though.

sigh…i still have about 7000 comics

This storyline will be worth it if Jeff realizes he can’t get all those books in his luggage on the plane ride back. Or if he gets home and Pam tosses them all out, or Ed uses them for bathroom reading because there’s no newspaper anymore.
