I smell a romance in the making

Kim is a unisex name. And trapping Old Jingles in a junkyard is like trapping the murderer in the haunted house. Who really wants to go in and start looking for OJ?

So now what, because I’m a girl you don’t like me?

Calling it now: just like how Miles fell for Carla, Kevin is going to fall for Kimothy, er, I mean Kimmy.

I thought “Kimmy” was a bit too obvious for this to be a reveal. I’d have gone with something like “Billy”.

Kimberly, and variations thereof, has also been used historically as a boy’s name. Ashley and Leslie have also been historically used as male names but maybe not so much now.

In university, I knew a guy named Kim. He was assigned to a girls dorm. He tried so hard to keep that room assignment.

p.s. Went to high school with a guy named Ashley. He had to learn to fight before he was old enough to read.

The ol’ classic Kim/Kimmy/Kimothy mix-up

Kim was short for Kimball, popularized in the West by the name of the character Kim O’Hara from a Kipling novel set in India.

Kimmy is a nickname for Kimuel as well which is a boy’s name. At least the only Kimuel I knew was.

Seeing the previous comments about Kimmy’s identity, I just want to share that in Scandinavia, names with the surfix -ie tend to indicate female form, and -y male form. So Conny would be male, and Connie female.

Kim is a gender neutral name what I know.
