I hope that was a dog (even tho I dearly love them) and not This Side Up. Good grief, it’s July today, one of my two least favorite months, the other being August. Our nights cool down but I was overdressed on my 4 am bike ride this morning.
Kitten update: Three got adopted. The black one and the spot faced one went together. The tuxedo got a home. That leaves the twins. Dr Susan took them home for the night. And, one from the last batch of 8 got adopted. That leaves just one light tortie female.
Our former vet, who specialized in cats, called the behavior in the last panel “whacking.” She thought it was, from the cat point of view, a major tool in kitten rearing.
Second update: The lady who adopted the solid black one had to take it back. Apparently she didn’t know she’d be allergic to it. Both Susans said she was crying. We were out doing things and stopped at PetCo to see what was going on and a young man and his pregnant wife were talking about adopting one. The kitten was snuggled up into his neck and had been there for about 20 min. They adopted it! Just as we were going to leave, a young mom and two kids (a girl about 8 and a boy around 5) were holding the returned black one. I heard the mom say “We have to ask daddy.”We left and just after we got home Susan called and said the father met them at PetCo and they adopted it! So, all of mine are gone.
What a strike! Lily’s knocking that cat clear into orbit! On another note, saw four robins, two finches, two Wilson’s warblers, two juncos, and two butterflies while out walking today.

Lily plays in the National League. And she does not play for “funsies”!

That “strike” looks like it could be a home run. She sure sent someone on a high fly!

International Day Of Cooperatives
International Reggae Day
Canada Day
National Hop-a-park Day
National Gingersnap Day
National Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day. I’m not big on creative flavors. I prefer plain old boring vanilla or chocolate.
