Amaretto is flavoured with peach or apricot pits, and they call it almond flavoured. That’s why it tastes awful.

Almonds and peaches. Living together. End of the world as you know it.

Some hybrids have edible fruit. You can eat the fruit, then crack open the pit and eat the seed — although the seeds probably contain a fair amount of cyanide.

Eating an almond is essentially the same as eating a peach or plum pit. I imagine that it tastes a lot better , though.

“Time itself is neither linear nor circular. It does not flow or move but allows others to do so. So the cycles we observe have nothing to do with time, except that time will enable them to exist. People assume that time is a strict progression from cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it’s more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff.”

Today I learned something new. Funny that decades ago I noted the similarity between the two, never thought of it again but filed it away, until today.

Can you use quantum mechanics to detect if Schrödinger’s bomb is live?
