The only way to achieve world peace is to subjugate everyone else.

Lots of people had that dream: Alexander, Atilla, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Franco, the list is ever growing.

In my many decades of life, I have yet to successfully grow a good basil plant outdoors. Either they’re these stunted little things, or the insects eat them, or Baphomet strikes them with an ancient curse. I’ve had much more success with my AeroGarden (Hail Corporate!). That said, decades ago when I visited San Antonio for a convention, the hotel I stayed at had these amazing herb gardens that they used not only for decoration but in their kitchen, and they had basil plants growing around that were absolutely massive, more like bushes than plants, taller than I was. Must have been the heat and the humidity that they loved. I dunno.

Growing something is a nice goal. I haven’t gotten past the kill stage yet, however.

Yes. I think the basil plant is doable. I saw some for sale at the nursery last month.

Basil is easy to grow from a cutting. Just be patient for about a week and then be amazed.
