I heard about a British speed eater that wanted to complete in the US contests. He practiced for quite a while and then headed out to the States for the competition. He then decided he ought to try a US hot dog as he’d never had one. He found it really salty and then at the competition really struggled as a result. Needless to say, he didn’t do well. Is US food really salty and/or sweet? I’ve heard that a few times now.
