When I retired many, many years ago I state playing golf a lot including weekly interclub matches and developed a v sore wrist. One of my opposition ‘buddies’ diagnosed it as a carpal tunnel problem due to the fact that when I wasn’t playing golf I was typing away and mousing at my computer like crazy. He suggested I look at the armrests I was using and the desk height, which were indeed different from the ones I was used to at work. Started paying attention to my arm positions and the problem went away. The same thing had happened to him!

I got it once and I don’t golf. My hand surgeon says it’s common and no one knows what causes it, but it always just goes away eventually.

You could always switch hands. Give that left elbow some rest.

He definitely needs to work on his form – especially on his grip and his follow through.
