Just look at the bitter face on Mr. Dear. At least we had the kinder and gentler one before last Sunday.

Poor Fred. Dear is angry, and it isn’t his fault. And Mrs. D is correct. Fred does feel the cold more. For pity sake. Just go home already.

In this very moment Mr. Dear would prefer Fred to have a coat like Scruffy, I bet ;-) Fred seems content with either the Jacket or Mr. Dear’s woolen cardigan :-)

Fred, you are a pampered pooch!

If it’s cold, why stay? Go find a warmer place.

;-D husband was complaining right now that it is too cold and he again would need to put on a jumper. I showed him this strip :-)

One must prepare with more care next time ;-)

The art work is different the last two days.

We were watching a episode of Murder in Suburbia the other night. While watching the police inspector, drive away in a Jaguar, we wondered, why would anyone have a convertible in England?

That must have been before global warming started to kick in.

I’m with Mr. Dear on this one. With Fred too, I think.

Today’s high is projected to be 102 Fahrenheit.

I guess this is before The Dears started dressing Fred in doggie clothing. Mr. Dear looks so mean and grumpy.

What happened to the rock they were sheltering against?

<snort!> The cardigan is probably warmer than the coat, anyway.

And, if he really loves her, he needs to love the dog, too!

Eh, that was an early Fred Basset strip I came upon in a special edition of the collection from my private library -before my straight-minded brother & his wife dispersed it apart when they goaded me into moving from Cambridge as to be nearer them in Leominster – sigh!!

My pooches both got soaked one cold autumn day. I tucked them up under my coat and carried them home regardless of the water or the smell.

Why stay at beach if it is cold go home and light a nice warm fire right fred
