Like it’s not bad enough to be embarrassed by their parents, now the Aunts and Uncles are getting in on it too!

An Aunt will rant, an Uncle will crunkle…

The Erfurt latrine disaster occurred July 26, 1184 when Henry VI, King of Germany (later Holy Roman Emperor), held a Hoftag (informal assembly) in the Petersberg Citadel in Erfurt. On the morning of July 26, the combined weight of the assembled nobles caused the wooden second story floor of the building to collapse and most of them fell through into the latrine cesspit below the ground floor, where about 60 of them drowned in liquid excrement. This event is called the Erfurter Latrinensturz (lit. ’Erfurt latrine fall’) in several German sources.

I think every family has wack jobs*….but they love you anyways!

Haha! I read it as “Awnt” at first and then realized the visual reference…

This is so ironic for me … our family matriarch and favorite Aunt died last night … and we have a network of cousins who live all over the country and were texting each other yesterday and today … I mention this because Monday was not only Dave’s “National Drive-Thru Day” it was also “National Cousins Day” …!
