Oh-darn, inflation … used to be only 10%. This boy of the ’50s could take his 50 cents allowance and take the bus, get a transfer, buy a Saturday matinee ticket, popcorn, Jujyfruits, a large soda, enjoy a serial, buy another bus ticket, stop at our pharmacy and buy the latest comic book.

I thought 10% was standard for that kind of thing
