When I was a kid… “parties” were run by parents. Parents who’s idea of fun was to stand around, sipping drinks, nibbling posh snacks, and talking too much. Basically everything a little kid Didn’t want to do.
Teenage and young adult parties were much more fun! Running around all crazy, guzzling drinks, scarfing down greasy foods, and having odd contests. The odd contests were the best part – burping (and other bodily noises) contests, biggest splashes, and who could write their names (in yellow) in snow.
Now… I’m old. My idea of “party” is to buy a pizza and watch a DVD.
