Awww widdle kitty Kat ate a birdie. Come over here, you can sit on Grandma’s lap. You didn’t know that birdie was going to fly right in your mouth, did you?
NATIONAL FRAGILE X AWARENESS DAY. Fragile X syndrome is a mutation of the FMR1 gene and is the most common form of inherited intellectual disability. It impacts men more than women, and while a person may have the gene mutation, sometimes they do not have any apparent signs. Those who do show signs may have mild or severe symptoms. Physical, intellectual and behavioral symptoms may appear, and they vary between males and females. Women tend to have similar but milder symptoms or none at all.
NATIONAL PENUCHE FUDGE DAY. If you like maple flavor, this nut-filled fudge is for you! Hands down the best fudge out there to make.
I’ve never tried it, but it doesn’t really appeal to me.
NATIONAL RAT CATCHER’S DAY. National Rat Catcher’s Day on July 22nd commemorates the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The day also provides an opportunity to thank all present-day exterminators.
Very cute kitty, must be Oliver’s cousin. My mom raised parakeets for a while, and I had one in my room. Fred. He was so much fun, always on my shoulder or head.
That was pretty funny. My little fosters are so sweet! They’re now starting to play with their toys. When I went in last night, they both ran to me to be picked up.
That kitty almost looks like he feels guilty about it. Fortunately, Parakeets aren’t as expensive as other parrots, so the bill probably won’t be too high. (Of course, I could be wrong.) On another note, saw a sparrow, two juncos, seven robins, a Wilson’s warbler, and a damselfly while out walking today.
