There are BEES where Monty lives? I can’t remember the last time I saw a bee. Used to see them when I was a kid all the time. Wasps, too.

I almost looked like Monty the other day: had to stop and get gas on my way home and had already done all the card business and started pumping when a cloud of bees descended from god only knows where! Had a heckuva time trying to finish filling up without getting stung

My yard is teeming w bees. They love the clover in my lawn, among other things. Lots of wasps too

Had lamb chops for dinner last night, out on the deck. When we finished and the bones were sitting on the plate a couple of bees flew in and started nibbling on the bones. I never suspected bees of being carnivorous but they worked tiny chunks of meat free (a little bigger than the size of their heads) and flew off with it.

Yellow Jackets are a problem this year according to a pest control agent. My sister found a nest the hard way by leaning up against her house while gardening and got stung 4 or 5 times before she got away. It was her pest controller guy that made the statement.

This is me and mosquitos all through the summer. Shoot, I stepped outside last night into a steam bath – see you in the fall!

I’m surprised that Monty was so quiet about the situation when the bees attacked him.

I didn’t get mail a couple days and noticed on one of the last letters I got the word “wasp” was written. I figured it was some post office abbreviation, but then noticed a date stamped under it. Sure enough, I went outside and under a front window was a little nest with one wasp on it. He didn’t seem that intimidating but he had to go as he was shutting down the US government.

I often hear a statement like “no bees, no us.” Not true. Not every plant on the planet needs bees for pollination. Our diet may be less varied, but we’re not going to starve.
