I can’t speak for Tik-Tok but on YouTube even if one pays for the “commercial-free” premium tier there are still a ton of channels with product placements and these are worth a considerable amount of money, I’m sure. Companies do not generally give vloggers products worth thousands of dollars for no return.
I suppose it depends on your target audiance. The kids are thinking he’s cool, the boomers are thinking he’s a fool, the rest don’t care about your clothes. The stalkers are out there. Never forget.
It’s amusing to me how the people who think those CEOs somehow actually earn multimillion-dollar salaries will turn around and tell a YouTuber to “get a real job”.
The “Influencer Event” in NYC that turned into a full scale riot will earn that person a very hefty fine and perhaps to quote an old song by Humble Pie, “30 days in the hole.”
1. I loved reading Doonsbury since I first learned to read, I even read the books when it was first published.
2. I was thinking the other day, about my alumni, and how they tie into today’s trends. I’m proud to be high school class of 95’. Before the birth of the internet, I’m the original, influencer. BUT I don’t do it for fame or fortune. People just see me as someone that has good advice and time to lend a hand. That’s a real influencer, you lead by actions…you don’t judge your followers by social class, you see them as people and treat them accordingly.
And no I don’t do the social media follower. Nonsense. When I do big things in life, my friends, my fans know my name and rep and know it’s going to be good.Thank you…

Those people make a ton of money on Tictok and Youtube. And I don’t see how, they sell nothing and don’t advertise anything?

3,000,000 views for an independent website in 1999 would be impressive. Even back then, Alex could have got a ton of advertisers
