Boy I had a 3 day nightmare dealing with the phone company over an issue with an old router. It kept dropping out, they sent me to two of their store locations who could not replace my router, then their tech support people called up and said they fixed the problem. I told them I am rebooting the router now as we speak, you have fixed nothing. When I asked to speak to a manager they hung up. Then I got a customer satisfaction survey, “Tell us how wonderful we did!!!” The four horsemen of the Apocalypse rode through that survey.
We all know that a phone call to Tech Support will be answered by a foreign accent, I know India Pakistan etc but a Filipino friend said the tech guy was from the Philippines but would not converse in the native tongue, guess it was not allowed. I call my local reputable computer repair guy or just take my laptop there.

It costs too much to train people now, so companies just hire them and hope for the best.
