You could say it Mooo-ved him.

this was me as a tiny child

Cows mooing does sound mournful at times….

Aww Dill, you have a great kindergarten teacher who really cares when you’re sad and upset. That’s the way teachers should be.

As I’m reading this, the cattle in the pasture beside our home are lowing.

Not a mournful sound, a MMMMHOOOOOOOOOrnful sound…

I remember those! Now I’m sad!

This is udderly ridiculous.

Dill needs to ROCK! Forget the chair, crank up some AC/DC!

I’ll bet Miss Bliss would be amazed if she could overhear what the other children are saying!

I love Miss Bliss. She really does her best to care for the children :-))

Appalling the things that adults inflict on children in the name of education and/or entertainment.

When it’s all said and done, Miss Bliss really takes good care of the children in a very sweet, understanding way.

I have long lost track of the number of times I have seen this specific strip, but the darned thing gets to me every single time. A blessing on your head, Miss Bliss. Dill, it will be okay.

I am so happy to see Miss Bliss rescue our beloved Dill from his self-generated depression: rocking-chair therapy is ideal! And that final panel with the other Blisshaven kids offering analysis of What Went Before is a gem (if only I knew what “Goodnight Moon” is)…..

Bambi, Old Yeller, and Lassie. I quit watching Lassie at age 9 after a very sad episode. No one could get me to watch it again, they’d turn it on and I’d leave the room and go read.
