I can remember carrying the mail as a young guy. A nice clean uniform all pressed and walk outside in the pouring rain. Soaked for rest of day. I don’t like getting wet to this day.
This lovely bit of poetry went out the window many years ago. Anytime the weather is bad, mail service stops. We had a severe ice storm a few years back and didn’t get mail for over a week.
