    Mental Discipline and as a tool for use in geometry, trigonometry, calculus and statistics. Even useful for when the kids ask, “Are we there yet?” You can use what I call the DIRT formula: Distance Is Rate times Time. If you know 2 of those 3 you can get the third. D = RxT. And you’ll know and be able to amaze them.

    Aren’t we using algebra every time we calculate how much an item is by the ounce or pound or inch, etc?
