Are we going to see Luke clean up his act and become an asset? It has happened in the distant past. We’ve also, in the past, seen characters who remained jerks. While I hold firmly to the belief people can change I’ve seen the reality that most don’t. As big a jerk as he was last year I’m not confident of any change that doesn’t seem like a major conversion experience.
The only thing we learned today, as this latest arc labors on, is that Luke, Dr. Pearl and possibly Henry, are big fans of Col. Nathan Jessup and “A Few Good Men.” Be ready for BHL to order a Code Red.
BHHL trying to suck up to Dr. Pearl, but then looking for a handout in P3 is ruining his chances. And speaking of chances, your chances of enjoying today’s Mopped Up Thorp are pretty good.
P4- (Pearl): “First, you’re going to need about thirty red Milford polos. They’re $49.95 each and we’ll just deduct them from your paychecks. Then you’re go to need………..”
My school, new coach (other than in basketball and football) was usually because of a push from someone already there. Quite a few of them had recently been fired from somewhere else. One of those, Norm Dale, even won a State title. No school that small had ever won a State title.
Remember “Ernest Goes to Camp” where the camp director is irate at an unfortunate incident Ernest was a part of? To upgrade to present circumstances
“Now, if you give me this chance plus another divided by pi, carry the one, hoping real numbers result from the radical, making sure zero isn’t in the denominator…” as Luke is frenetically performing finger math.
“All right, Luke. One more chance. But you best get with the program. KnowwhutImean????”

Playing Dr. Pearl in today’s episode of Milford Masterpiece Theater, formerly a Quinn Martin Production, is Mallory Archer.

Nice quality work on Dr. Pearl’s door. The lettering in this town has gone to hell and nobody cares.

Martinez joining forces with Gil is easily the best of the 109 story lines Barajas has introduced.

I still find it hard to believe that Gil can hire someone without higher approval.

Dr. Pearl, trying to fit in with the younger crowd, goes with the purple hair dye. Still not being confused as a student though.

The school board finally got wise to Dr. Pearl’s lethal weapon punji sticks and called bullsh!t, forcing her to get a twentieth century hair style.

“Ernest, have you had any group leadership experience?”
“I was in charge of all the basketballs for the detainees at Milford Youth Detention Center.”
“Close enough. How’d you like to be an assistant coach?”
“Wow Gil!!!!!!!!! Be an assistant just like y’all?”
“Just like us, Ernest.”
“Man, I can’t wait ta dig into some sandwiches, knowwhutImean?”
