The tree is smarter than a million tree-huggers!

We’re all reading these comics on the exact devices this tree is talking about. Whether tablets, phones, laptops or desktops, it’s all the same. Of course, production of books — one physical book per novel — also consumes tons of resources and energy. I have never seen a comparison in the production of, say, a hundred novels verses a hundred e-books.

Which isn’t to say I don’t take the tree’s point.

Maybe we should go back to markings on mud? Readable when dried? I’m sure some “mud hugger” would find something bad about that, too.

A fact nonetheless. Electric cars allegedly save the environment but their batteries are made of pollutants built with the efforts of slave child labor. Everything has a price……

The tree seems to be assuming that you have to buy a new e-reader every time you want to read a new e-book.

Is that a “cold sassy tree”? sounds like it. (Or a “scold sassy tree”?)
