Paying process servers for former POTUS’s in getting to be a waste of time and money. If they put an orange in jail they’d have to have Secret Service guards with the orange 24/7. How will that work out?
Russia’s probe crashed on the moon this week. I loathe Putin, but I feel sorry for the Russian People. The USSR is NOT!!! Russia, so they have never reached the moon. The idea that evil-boy thought going to the moon right after he launched a horrific war and his country’s currency is in shambles show just how inept a leader he is. Only the US, the USSR, and China have landed on the moon-the last time was in 1977. I also hate Modi, but I hope India’s probe can make it. This will be their second attempt. The idea that both countries launched within days of each other was weird.
The fact that we think it might be easier to build a settlement where there’s no air or water than to stop poisoning the planet we’re on tells you everything you need to know about human beings.
Tell you what: Show me you can make the Sahara habitable. Then tell me about Mars.
Spending money on space travel pushes the limits of our technologies and forces us to come up with new technologies. Its a peaceful release, employs our smartest scientists and makes room for others to move up the ladder. The opposite happened during and immediately after the “1991 recession” where former NASA and military scientists and engineers were laid off and had to take lower jobs that put downward pressure on the job market allowing companies to hire experienced people to fill roles normally filled by new graduates and those with lesser experience. I know because I graduated from college right into that situation and had trouble getting a job because of my lack of experience.
Without the research necessary for the space program, we wouldn’t have computers… or pocket calculators… or transistors. We’d still be using tube type radios and tv’s, and wouldn’t have the internet, which is the most wonderful research library imaginable, and makes a zillion other things possible.

Strip him of those privileges.

Put him in solitary. No secret service needed.

We should already be well established on the Moon and on our way to Mars and beyond.

No, it’s not as inspiring. But, if we ever want a functioning, respected government again, it’s necessary.

We the US should go back to burning excess capital in space rather than war and military spending.

If Trump ever gets convicted and imprisoned, every newspaper will have “Orange is the new black” as its headline the next day.
