Arrgg! Wish I could get some cooler temps and a little rain! First “cooler” day here will be 97° F. on Monday.

It is always sad when Red has to go back to school.

It’s hard to believe the Summer is almost over for Red! But at least he can come home to Rover. And there’s the weekends!

Despite the bad weather and dwindling summer, the boys are together, and that is all that really matters!

It’s not often that Rover gets upset with Red, but in this case, he’s as unhappy as Red about summer vacation ending!

40% chance of showers tonight, but historically if there is no predicted accumulation ain’t nothing happening.

We’re getting a lot of rain and thunderstorms this summer (near Detroit), and our high temperatures weren’t too bad… wish we could share some of those thunderstorms with the places with too much heat and drought.

10 day end of summer forecasts like that were near if not at the very top of the list of reasons I moved the heck out of MUSHigan and am now an Arizonan for life! You don’t have to shovel heat, you don’t have to wear three layers of clothing for heat, and (if you keep yourself well conditioned, well acclimated, and well hydrated) you don’t have to stay indoors and be precluded from enjoying outdoor recreation in the heat. When I think of the amount of life I wasted up there waiting out winters and rainy days….

I know I’m ready for a change in the weather. It’s been 100-108* everyday since mid July and no rain either. But that’s summertime in Texas.
