Once upon a time we had a pug that was afraid of other dogs, so he became an obedience school dropout…..

4th panel, yep, then he’ll be off to college, out of the house, get married,…..

Jill, Buckles is a dog, not a boy.

Buy him books, send him to school and all he does is tug on the leash…

Never noticed that Buckles has opposable thumbs. That explains a lot

Obedience classes are useless unless the owners are there training the dog, or at a minimum learning what is being learned and what words or signals to use. Of course this is a cartoon, and I expect a school bus tomorrow. Buckles is looking good and has no idea what is likely to happen. He’s proud to grow up.

A lot of people do treat their dogs like children.

Don’t worry, Jill …… Buckles will be back before you know it ……. :)
