The substitute teacher was answering a question with a question when the student asked, “What is your name?”

Learning to spell “cat”, add “2+2”, and state capitals. Quite the advanced Social Studies curriculum.

In my experience I only need to know the capital of the state I’m living in—and I rarely need to use that information. For other states, I often think of their most famous/populous city, whether that is their capital or not.

Teachers DO tend to ask a lot of questions, don’t they? You’d think they know the answers, since the already graduated.

The capital of Wyoming is a whopping 8 miles inside the state line. Why it’s not centrally located in Casper, I shall never know even though I lived in Wyoming for 10 years.

The capital of Wyoming is CAT!?

Nice of you to give us sneakily the answer so we wouldn’t have to go to the trouble of googling for the answer.

In most states, the capital is not the largest city. I wonder why that is.

Clue: This capital sounds like the girl from Green Gables is bashful.

Cheyenne, down in the lower right corner. I lived in Wyoming for several years, met the governor. :)
