So, I am safely back home in Wisconsin. Thanks for all the well wishes for a safe trip!
The drive to Ohio was HORRIBLE!! Going from here, to Palatine, Illinois to pick up our sister, Mary, was fine. But from there was so much road construction and traffic jams and driving 3-5 miles an hour until we were all ready to scream. We left Mazomanie, WI at 9:30 in the morning and did not arrive at our destination in Carlisle, Ohio until around 8:00 Wisconsin time (9:00 Ohio time). We stayed with some distant relatives who actually were total strangers to us, but VERY nice people. They have a 6 bedroom house and this couple lives in it by themselves (they are wanting to sell it now for something smaller), so we each got our own bedrooms. This was me, Mary, and our brother, Daniel, who was our driver for the entire round trip. The drive home was smooth sailing all the way and we made the return trip about an hour 45 minutes faster than the way to Ohio.
The couple we spent the night with provided us with a nice breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. She apologized, claiming she wasn’t a good cook, but the food was good.
There was a lot of miscommunication involved in this trip. Lots of changes about start time and are we having a meal at the church, etc. We thought the memorial service began at 11:00 and there was no visitation before the service. The funny thing is, it was the pastor who told us that. But when we arrived at our stopping place Friday night, our hosts said there was going to be a visitation at 10:00 until the time of the service. We got to the church shortly before 10:00 to find the gates to the parking lot closed and they appeared to be locked. So we texted the pastor and he still had not been informed of a visitation, but he said the gate wasn’t locked and we could open it and the pastor would get there at around 10:30. We barely parked in the parking lot before a lot of other cars started pulling in.
I’m afraid it might be “weak” lemonade just like my Mum used to complain about tea that was too weak – “Tastes like cat’s pee”. (I never knew how she could know that. HI MUM!!)
Very funny! XD What the heck did they put in that lemonade?! Maybe something that cats like but human don’t. (Like liquified mouse guts.) On another note, saw four rabbits, three robins, a sparrow, a Steller’s jay, a dragonfly, and two juncos while out walking today.

“FurBabies” is good today. It’s a fairly new comic on here, so not too much to catch up on if you haven’t seen it but happen to like it.

Don’t drink the lemonade. I don’t think they meant to poison people, but still…

Not for human consumption. It was the mouse liver.

It would be an even better idea to get out of there, and quick.
