How about vote for the most capable of doing the job in a professional and intelligent manner?

The first is almost never an option.

it’s turned into a Jr High system so just vote for the person you like and go on ticky tocky and all the other social media and MSM to tell everyone what you did and why and expect everyone to do what you did or you will be offended and start a movement to destroy everything IF you don’t get your way you will do mostly peaceful demos and things. (Isn’t that how it’s done in the USA now? forget about the process because really who cares what’s constitutional or legal or rights in a constitutional republic – it’s all about who I like and who I hate and me being offended by some rhetoric someone dares utter)js I wonder how that would work? OH WAIT -

Person I like? This is not a beauty or BFF contest. I take issue with those campaign brochures that focus on his/ her family – okay, some spouse liked him and he’s ‘fertile’, not a qualifier. How about someone likely to do the most good and/ or the least harm. And often he’s just a local shill for the party line.

Qualified, maybe?

Or close your nose and vote for the least repulsive candidate.

Why I favor approval voting: you can do both.

Ideally it should be the former, but the reality is that the latter has frequently been necessary.

This is why ranked voting needs to be a thing.
