Swonk… It sounds like an empty little head hitting the ground from a low height… No damage, only the funny noise. ☺

You can find it just after snork and just before snalk in the Dictionary. Snalk: to tiptoe stealthily. As in I snalked into the Pantry and snoffled some catnip.

Swonk appears to be a verb. It makes no sense to derive it from swonkus, a noun.

It was back to work yesterday. My department was a wreck and they didn’t water the plants very well. What hospital should I send them to?

I would say that it’s nice to be back at work, but that would be a lie. LOL.

    Today is:

NATIONAL GRIEF AWARENESS DAY. This is something we are all too familiar with.

NATIONAL BEACH DAY. I’d love to go to the beach. Let’s forget about work and have a beach party instead!

NATIONAL TOASTED MARSHMALLOW DAY. We can toast marshmallows on the beach!

Chez is a slow learner, no one else messes with Lily. Yesterday I drove 1 1/2 hours to leave my bike s for an overhaul, then another 1 1/2 hours further south to Trader Joes, back to the bike shop. then a quick stop for tire rotation on my car and finally home after 11 hours. Somehow I managed to drop 2 tiny important springs from the skewer that attaches the front tire (bike won’t fit in the car without taking it off), almost certainly in the street and spent over half an hour with a flashlight crawling around looking for them with no luck.

Man, Lily looks really peeved. Looks like she’s going to swonk Chesney right back! On another note, saw two squirrels, two robins, a rabbit, a sparrow, and two chickadees while out walking today.
