Today’s strip reminds me of a parody of MacBeth which one of my classmates wrote when we were at high school. For the scene were an army advances on MacBeth’s castle disguised as trees, one of the soldiers got Dutch elm disease and another was used as a battering ram.

They lit up the knight.

I’ve seen trees with burls and knots, but rarely a nose that large

… and for another, the firewood is running out on them.

Important safety tip: don’t smoke while posing as a tree unless there’s a dog nearby!
