The look of satisfaction and glee on Mr, Crankshaft’s face in panel three says it all. The memory of impeding as much traffic as possible while contributing to the death of a colleague is so satisfying. Mr. Crankshaft is such a nice man. What a great humor filled comic strip. Note to self: If I don’t like this comic strip then don’t read it.

FOURTH WEEK! FOURTH WEEK! FOURTH WEEK! FOURTH WEEK!Let’s go for week four of “Grandma “catches” Mr. Crankshaft’s bus.” Please don’t end it Mr. Writer. There’s so much more you can do with it.

Oh, THIS trope! A ghost comes from beyond the veil of darkness to confront the cruel and unjust madman who murdered him, and says “Ehh, no biggie! Whevs!” It was in Hamlet.
So correct me if I’m wrong, but way back Pops retired from driving a bus. All of a sudden now he didn’t retire and instead died on the job? Batty at his best, rewriting history whenever he feels like it. He’s even bragged about it.
So, this “story” is going to wrap up on a rehash of the Sept. 3 “joke” (Ed trying for a record number of stopped cars behind him), with the added gem that Ed’s sociopathic misanthropy directly contributed to the death of his colleague and mentor. What a delightful strip. No wonder folks out there rush to defend it.
Clutch: So that’s what you have to say? To tell me you were sorry about the fact that you caused me to die because of your f&$@&#g behavior? That’s not gonna cut it. You left my kids without a father and my wife a widow. You don’t deserve to be in this job, and you dont deserve any sympathy for what you did to my family.
Not sure that the duties of a good bus driver include NOT picking up kids, how many cars get lined up behind the bus, or how many times you knock over a mailbox post.

They’re trying to make a joke over something that’s not laughable. The writers should be ashamed.

So now he killed his father? Good grief.
