I’m in a bad area with no sidewalks and crazy drivers out to run anyone over not doing 80MPH. So I never get anyone and that is fine, I like the candy.
We just moved here last August. I asked a neighbor about how many kids come around for Halloween and he said 20 to 25. So we bought a box of 40cnt potato chips and figured we had it covered. Well a half hour before the end, we ran out of chips plus I gave out some peanut butter cups I had in the fridge. I told the wife let’s go inside and shut the lights off… LOL! This year we are way better prepared!
I fixed the left over candy problem. If Halloween is on Friday or Saturday, the rest (minus a few of my favorites & I get the bite size) go to Church on Sunday. The rest of the days it goes to the gym. Surprisingly, or maybe not, the members devour it along with the staff. At least it’s not me.
I had two last year. A special request from a colleague who asked if she could bring her young children to my place to do trick or treat, since it isn’t commonly done where we are and she is a neighbor. Last minute request so I went out and got a variety of candies to give them. Cute kids, great to be able to give them that experience, and still have leftover candy!

This is NOT his first candy run. There have been at least 2 in the past weeks, maybe more, my memory isn’t all that great.

I gave up expecting kids for Halloween in my neighborhood :/ My apartment is kinda hard to see, so I don’t blame them.

I always wait until the morning after Halloween and buy up all the half-price Tootsie Rolls I can find.

I never have any kids at my door, but I buy a bag of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups “just in case.”

It’s two weeks until Halloween the candy that he bought won’t last until then.

I’m not that crazy about so called ‘Halloween candy’ but if it contains chocolate, I’m there!

Word has gotten around among the kids not to bother; he’s eaten it all by the time they come around.

I used to be pretty quick at turning off the porch light, then I’d be dining on frozen Milky Ways for a couple of weeks.

Correction on panel 4, if there’s any left the trick or treaters can have it.

None since we moved here around 34 years ago. In 10 years in apartment 2 children (together).
