Lived in Fl (Ocklawaha) 2 years now and have seen maybe 2 fireflies, lived in AZ (Mesa) for 27 years and saw none!

The problem with Nanacamilpa is that people keep driving up with their headlights on while you’re trying to watch the fireflies.

    Man, Canada can’t be real.

Yes, I’ve met Canadians. All so nice and full of questions. So many questions.

Don’t know how to turn a key or press a light switch.

    And now this?

Someone out there has to be pulling a massive prank on the world.

That treadmill trek… The Camino de Santiago is only about 900 miles if you start your pilgrimage in Paris….

We have an annual viewing of a “synchronized” firefly display every Spring in the Smoky Mountains. Attendance has become so large that they have had to go to a lottery format for tickets to see this spectacle. I think it limited to something like 10,000 people at any given time.

    I don’t think I’ve ever seen a firefly.

I find it VERY difficult to believe that a person walked on a treadmill for 27,000 teps a day. He would have to do it 24/7, 52 weeks a year….non stop for anything. That would average 10.35 miles a day…for three months.

I had 50 acres of woodland in Northern Maine for 25 years. I never went up there (from Massachusetts) during June and early July because the mosquitos and black flies ruled the air. One time, I went up to check on something, arriving around 10PM. I was stunned, absolutely awed in the literal sense, as I saw thousands of fireflies throughout the trees! The sight cannot be described in words. Nature at its most wondrous!

During the “lockdown”, I was told by our local police department, that I couldn’t ride my bike (Harley) because I might get covid. I asked them HOW? They really didn’t have an answer, so I went riding anyway.
