The situation in blue collar America has been deliberately designed by 1%ers to produce MAGAts. They own the news outlets that broadcast the conservative propaganda, and use them specifically for that purpose. These are people who were raised listening to Rush Limbaugh and then Fox News. In some rural areas, the only actual news is on the local main stream networks, and they have bent over backwards for years to not take sides, even when one side is obviously lying. And, the people they have coffee with, go to church (or the bar) with etc are dealing with the same situation. That means that real people that you know and trust are backing up what you are getting from the propaganda machine. Unless you are a really intelligent, involved person, you are going to accept the world you see, unaware that it has been paid for and organized by people who are working against your best interests.
Now, consider the possibility that the world you live in is not only being exposed as fake by the real news agencies, but even Faux news has now decided they can’t keep up the hoax and will have to get real occasionally. You are faced with the situation of having lived in a farce your entire life. Can you imagine how frightening that would be? Be generous with them. They are victims of the 1%. If we don’t rub their noses in the situation and support them, they may be able to see the truth.
The good news is that according to polls, many of their kids are getting educated and seeing the real world. The truth is like Krytonite to their world, and schools are crawling with truth. A small percentage of young people are still living in the Faux bubble.
In the comments of a previous D&J page featuring Trumpy’s version of G.R.O.S.S., I wrote a gag about how they’re not imaginary, they just have all the same imaginary friends as Donald. John started asking, “So they’re a cu—” and Donald interrupted him, saying, “A cut about the rest, yes.”
