I do the dishes, clean the house and do my own laundry. My wife doesn’t want me doing any of her laundry. You shrink one shirt well over 40 years ago (no it wasn’t on purpose) and you’re never again to do any of her laundry.
Yesterday, while the wife was at her part time I’m-bored-with-retirement job, I cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed the house, gave the dog a bath, mowed the lawn, went to the dump, hauled sand for patio pavers, leveled and packed said sand, did the grocery shopping and washed the dishes after dinner. The only comment I got?, “you missed a spot on that pan”. And I agree with Just-me above, even though I’ve never damaged anything in the laundry I still get spoken to if I try to “help out” by doing a load or two. So, I do not do laundry.
My husband says he doesn’t help me; he does things with me. He wears half the clothes in the laundry, he eats off the dishes, he eats half the food, so going to the store, doing the wash, loading and unloading the dishwasher is a joint project. (And yes, I know I am blessed.)
Reminds me of the original North American release of Final Fantasy IV (titled Final Fantasy II at the time). Whenever you successfully hit an enemy with an instant-death attack, the message on the screen would say “Swoon”.

He’s probably procrastinating that job he took from “The Jerk” yesterday.

Having a “swooney” wife might be fun on occasion.

Okay dude. You’re walking on thin ice here. You’re taking the wind out of my “doing chores as an apology” sail.

As Bernadette on “The Big Bang Theory” says:
“You want something stupid, or you did something stupid.” ☺
