The only golfing I ever did was on the driving range and Miniature. At teh driving range I didn’t have to find my ball after hitting it off the Tee or chase it around the cup. At miniature golf, it was totally not serious.
There’s a municipal golf course a few miles from my house that has a main 4-lane road right next to it. Every other week or so someone will post about their car/truck getting hit by an errant golf shot. Therefore, I try to avoid that road whenever possible.
In the gallery at the Colonial one year watched a big name pro bounce a shot between two cars in the club parking lot. Multiple strikes sounded like something out of a Looney Tunes cartoon.
Sometimes Pluggers panels can pack in a lot of sociopolitical psychodrama, but despite the wordy caption, I’m pretty sure all this one is trying to convey is “pluggers are bad at golf.” Which, fair enough! Probably a lot of them are!
In high school the gym teacher taught us to play gold (in the gym using doll wigs instead of tees).
Fast forward about 6 or 7 years – husband and I went to a resort hotel. He had gold lessons when he was a boy. He brought his clubs from then and borrowed a set from his dad (who played for business reasons). We played the 9 hole course as “no one who actually cares plays that course”. How bad were we? He teed off on one hole and ended up putting into the next hole! I would hit the ball maybe 5 ft at a time.
It was our first and last time golfing as in real life we it too expensive, takes too much time, and we would annoy the other players.

Always remember to drive safely, but putt with reckless abandon!

I drive a smaller car. It’s more of a putt-putt.

Stopping at the club is the best drive of the day.

This is why I just drive to and from the golf course and skip that middle part.
Actually, today I’m going to and from the golf course (without a stop) in the boat. Leaves are finally starting to turn along the river.

The woods in his bag at least have socks, but those irons are gonna be pretty banged up if he treats them that way a lot.
