    Not long ago some researcher reported his finding that zebra stripes evolved to confuse biting insects.

    But if that were true, I would expect there to be far more striped animals in the world.

    I learned that recently while on an African Safari. Also a group of zebras is called a “Dazzle”. Makes sense, right?

    When they first started studying zebras, they would shoot a paint marker on to one of the zebras to distinguish it from the herd. That zebra seemed to ALWAYS be the next zebra targeted by lions so the researchers realized that was not going to work.
