I wonder if dogs look at humans and wonder if a human is like a turkey with both light and dark meat.

Kinda hard to avoid eye contact with those huge, creepy eyes.

I remember back in 2002, they introduced a shar pei character who made several appearances, before he just disappeared sometime a couple years after that.

I posted this on two other comic sites and seems to fit here as well – today, October 22 is National Make a Dog’s Day. (Hammy could go over and rub that doggy’s tummy and make his day.)

“Back away slowly… Don’t make eye contact” Is good advice for when you find yourself in a room full of folks proclaiming love for the political party opposed to yours…whichever that may be…

People speak of the relationship between man and horse as the greatest thing. I would enjoy going back in time to see when man and canine first met. A horse will toss you then walk away….a dog will refuse to leave their dead humans. It is said in Native American folklore that the Great Spirit created all things except the dog. The dog was already with the Great Spirit from the beginning.

    Don’t ever scratch a cat’s tummy. It’s a trap.

Not making eye contact is the easiest part.

I had dog when I was a kid. He wasn’t very philosophical and kept himself occupied doing crossword puzzles, but only when I was not around. :)

If I saw a dog with eyes like that one. I definitely would NOT make eye contact.

Once they lived free and wild. Worshiping the Moon with their howls and glorying in the hunt. Now they sit chained in our back yards, ignored and neglected. Twisted into unnatural shapes for our needs and amusements.

After reading panel 3, with the silhouette, I’m having a Pinky and the Brain moment.
