Oh, dem old man’s slippers!

Oh, dem tasty slippers!

Flavored slippers I’m gwine to chew,

Becase dey taist sweat-sweet;

Tasty slippers Ise gwine to brew,

To cook de flavor out of it.

Turning garbage into garb. Good line!

Were the slippers naturally worn out, or did somedoggy taste them one too many times? Did she overlook the saddle oxford? Saddle oxfords, penny loafers, and Red Ball Jets were my shoe wardrobe when I was her age.

Floof and Sirius are so helpful. Now the suspense mounts……what, oh what, will it be?

Curiouser and curiouser…

I will be laughing about “Maybe he didn’t like the flavor” all day.

It’s hard to throw out old slippers. Mine are so comfortable, but they are definitely nearing the end of their lives.
