I would say it is past time to let it go.

“Time to let this one go!” he said out loud underwater in perfectly clear English…somehow.

Met a guy in Florida long ago. Told me that his buddy and him were fishing at night back in the ’30s in a 14 foot boat. They hooked something which dragged them one direction and then the other for 5 hours. As the sun was rising, they got the fish up to the boat to see that it was shark even longer than their ship. They decided cutting it loose was the best course.

Next stop, Sherman’s Lagoon, three lines down!

What makes you think that?

Too often people won’t let go of something until they’re deep under water.

Maybe a little late now.

I was going to write a fishing pun, but couldn’t find the right line… I asked a mate for help, but that turned into a debait… I tried casting my mind back to when I last heard a fishing pun, but that didn’t reely work… If you’re also hooked on puns and can help me out, I’d love to sea what fishing stories you can drag up!

The guy who lost the fishing competition was really upset.

He was totally out of line.

At this point, even Captain Ahab would be telling them to ease off.

One time my friends really wanted me to join them for a fishing excursion. I didn’t want to at first but eventually joined them…

I am afraid that I succumbed to pier pressure.

My friend ties fishing line to the zipper of his pants then throws homemade lures into the water…

He says fly fishing is great fun!

Brother: “Why do we have a mouse-shaped fishing lure?”

Me: “So you can catch a catfish.”

before the fishermen becomes the bait that lost. :J

I think you need a bigger boat…….

That fish is going to have an interesting fish story…

They’re gonna need a bigger boat, fishing pole…

I’ve heard of a guy recently fishing in a kayak and catching a fish that drug him around for while.

To fish or let go…..that is the question?

Who caught who? The fish isn’t hooked, he’s holding the line in his teeth. That means he could let go any time he wants, ergo he WANTS to keep them!

I guess (s)he got kids to feed, before getting them to school… :D

Whoever took over the art is really doing a great job. Very nice, still funny tho…

It would have taken me 30 seconds to cut that fish loose. 5 Hours? Somebody’s full of §hit.

This reminds me of the time I was learning to ski on the Suwannee River and I got my skis pointed downward. I was headed for the bottom of the river and refused to get out of my skis or let go of the rope. I saw some interesting sights down there.

Especially since he isn’t even hooked.

He must take advice from my stockbroker…I always sell as the stocks are plunging deeper…

This boy’s one and only time involved a long battle, the crew helped by pulling up the line hand over hand, and I landed one half of a huge fish neatly sliced. One crewman said, “Very scary.”

A little too late to let out some line too.

But that’s his favorite fishing pole!
