Jones learns a second word… and we’re back to square one on getting this kid squared away with a new home. Or maybe his parents will rise from the flames, and we find out his full name is Jones Phoenix.
For October 9th, Walt lands the plane and has the oddest coincidence in Brazil… plus a full compliment of updates.
Jones maybe staying around, as I recall that’s how Skeezix’s sister,Judy came int0o the family. Left in Walt’s car, Febtuary 28, 1935. No, I am only 69 years old I did not read it first run.
Decades ago this strip incorporated real world politics and events. Old strips are little gold mines of information about the past and the way people lived – GA in particular shows technological development, boarding house life, rationing, the amazing changes in fashion from the beginning of the strip until… the 1980s? I think? I want to say it stopped mirroring current lived experience around that time. Are there any slice of life strips tracking a family, like GA or FBoFW, that do the same? Please don’t reply with insults about GA or FBoFW.

Aiding and abetting is against the law.
