Koko knows that’s not enough of a deterrent, and the roast is worth a scolding.

Don’t forget the shame of being called a bad dog…with reason.

How will Koko cope with the cooking string? Hope he does not swallow the nasty thing or get his tongue tangled up.

Ask forgiveness later with a full belly.

If you leave a roast where the dog can get it, too bad on you! Right, said Fred (Basset)!

Wow, she should know better than to leave such a tempting hunk of meat so close to a dogs reach. Really!

Our puppy ate some hamburger that was defrosting on the sink. She was small enough to jump up, but could not get down. Tried, pathetically, to hide in the sink. She was not punished because of extreme cuteness.

I had a dog eat an entire gingerbread house, including the foil wrapped cardboard it was sitting on.

My Mother mad the incredible mistake of taking a whole turkey out of the oven and putting in on the counter to cool while we all left the house to go do some trivial shopping or something: Dog got it. The whole thing. Never saw a mid-sized poodle so full. …What is worse is she had double ovens and could have put the turkey in the unused oven to cool. Live and learn. Oh: the dog survived.

Koko’s reasoning is that it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission…
