At which point does “care” become “control”?

I’m not talking about phones.

My smart watch reminds me to get up and move around if I sit still for an hour. But it usually doesn’t ping until a minute after I sit down!

I can’t think of a single person I know that would probably appreciate it if I told them they need to get more exercise.

I had been corresponding with a woman online and the time was coming for us to meet. Her deceased husband had been an exercise fiend and constantly demanded she exercise more. Before she agreed to meet me, she said she had to be sure I was not some kind of Adonis. Fortunately, I was able to put her mind at rest on that score. :)

Do you want to have a spouse that is programmed to “love” you?

—) The sneaky smart phones now patiently wait until the time arrives when they will eventually throw off their benevolant disguises, sprout legs, and attach themselves to our faces, and humans will merely serve as helpless hosts. It’s close to that time!

But do you know?

Opal did the phone tell you that your “Butt” looks big in that dress ? Thus the reason for exercise ;-)

Does the phone really care or just a regimentation?!

Turn off your health notifications, if your lazy like me.

How does a phone monitor exercise levels? (Now, if it’s talking with a smart watch… Those suckers are nosy.)

yeah, a program which is designed to monitor activity. Means its concerned for you. I guess that means my fridge is concerned for me as well as it opens every time I’m hungry. Almost like it knows…

There’s enough unwanted interference any time I go online on my pc. I definitely try to avoid it on my phone or tablet and if there was anyway to cancel it, I’d do that.

That smart phone has settings that Earl.. even with pills, can’t match

My flip phone has never done that .

Exactly why I prefer an old fashioned wrist watch. Big brother does not need to monitor my whole being. “1984” was not a suggestion for nefarious entities.

That stupid phone is right.

Exercise? One look at Earl and Opal and its clear neither of them exercise.

Opal may receive a nice bouquet tonight – Smart move.

He and I both know where this is leading. It’s in their two XX chromosomes.

Ha! No good ever came from asking your partner if they’re getting enough exercise!
