After my first marriage I had moved from a 5,000 sq-ft custom home with mountain views and three acres to a 16 foot Terry RV trailer “down by the river” The Great Reset for me….prenups should be required….the funniest scene was me getting phone service in the woods. Land lines, as cell phones didn’t exist, required a service tech to come to your house. The tech was met at the highway and I directed him up a dirt road into the woods. He said it cannot be done as a trailer is not a house. I told him to attach the service line to a pole I had next to the trailer. “Like a construction pole” He did! I wired up a phone in my trailer.
A lawyer I knew once told me- ‘the screwing you can get in a marriage is Nothing compared to the Royal screwing you can get if the marriage doesn’t work out. Always get a pre-nup.’ As he was a divorce lawyer, I believed him.
If they allow divorce to be a future option, they should not get married. They are already dooming the marriage. And the pastor should be ashamed of himself.

Working out the details of the divorce at the wedding would save a lot of time and trouble later.

Shouldn’t that be “Husband and Wife”, as equals in the marriage?

Easy divorce is societal poison.

My wife and I did not have a prenuptial agreement. When we started out, we had NOTHING to split and did not foresee that we’d ever need one.
My only promise to my wife was, “It won’t be boring.” So far, we’ve lived up to that promise.
So far, we’ve been at it for 53 years. I think the marriage is going to work out.

I wish it were funny but it’s too true and too sad.

No likes but I will admit it is clever. And very sad.

Sad but true these days. A successful marriage takes a lot of effort from both sides.

44 years of good times and bad times. Marriage takes work and good communication. It’s too easy nowadays to get a divorce.
