Roz Chast just published a bestselling book of cartoons about her dreams. I will be exploring some of the FurBabies’ dreams…theirs are of course a lot simpler.
My eight year old great nephew allowed me to use his ‘This is going to be funny’ preamble to telling a joke, in this cartoon. I quote him twice more this month!
Syrius appearing in Floof’s dream seeming to be scheming a prank in real life, which he does, seems to act as a bridge between the dream-state related to the unconscious and reality planted in the conscious mind. Freud and Jung, who were adversaries in their time, seem to be at work here.
Too cute! I love the floating-on-a-cloud-in-the-sunshine Floof, the glorious-sun Sirius, and the too-early-for puns-or-anything-else Floof! I could not choose a favorite.
I finally added “Floof” to my dictionary so spell check would stop telling me I’m spelling it incorrectly. So now who knows when a “Floof” typo will show up in my unrelated writing.
