Are living Christmas trees still priced for the preseason?

Big mistake. Some kinds tear up pavement, drop sticky or spiky things, have soft wood that causes limbs to break and fall, etc. Do your homework. Avoid Liquid Ambar at all costs. It does all three.

The cheapest option is to let birds plant a tree and don’t mow it down when its young.

Must not of had enough Leaves in the yard,

Get a ginkgo. They make these awesome yellow leaves in fall, have beautiful bark, and they’re easy to keep alive. One caveat though: get a male tree. The females drop sticky fruits that smell like rancid butter.

Just go get ’em.

Whatever kind he gets it’ll get TPed on Halloween.

Who plants trees in the Fall?

I remember we planted a tree when I was a kid…but a quick look on Google Earth reveals a two-foot-wide stump.

Hopefully Weeping Willows and Cottonwoods aren’t on sale. They’re horror-able trees to have in your yard. Maple and Oak are slow growing but very beautiful in the fall.

I had expected that today it would be a Halloween-themed strip.

Get a tart cherry or Granny Smith apple—the critters won’t touch the sour ones.

As a resident in the East Texas piney woods, I would advise against getting a pine tree.

Just make sure it’s not 1 of those Chinese Tallow Trees! My mom got 1 not knowing what it was & now I’m constantly pulling shoots up all over the yard! The things have infested our neighbors yards too!
