I spent 5 years in Sri Lanka. Before we went there, I told my kids they’d have to take the elephant bus to school, because of the tigers.They didn’t believe me.Even my eldest (who was 6 then), didn’t believe me, who when she 13 and newly diagnosed as autistic said she wondered when she’d grow wings as I kept calling her my little angel.[sigh]
